Riga. As from June 30, the Latvian airline airBaltic will offer flights on the route Riga-Kuresaare also on Saturday mornings, thus offering new opportunities in planning their travels for tourists who wish to visit Estonia‘s islands or enjoy the spas of Saaremaa Island.
airBaltic also is reducing the starting ticket price for flights Riga-Kuresaare – from now on it will be LVL 19.00 (including airport taxes) one way. Up to now, airBaltic offered flights to Kuresaare twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays. The flight from Riga to Kuresaare is operated with a Fokker 50. Total flight time – 40 minutes. Driving from Riga to Kuresaare takes around five hours. Saaremaa will be interesting to travellers because of its ancient architecture, active tourism opportunities, interesting bird and animal habitats, and diverse shoreline, where sandy beaches interweave with dolomite cliffs.
