Riga – The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 178,777 passengers in May 2007, or 50% more than in the same month in 2006, when airBaltic transported 119,389 passengers.
During the first five months of 2007, airBaltic transported a total of 668,335 passengers, or 34% more than during the same period in 2006, when the total number of passengers was 497,915. In May, airBaltic provided 3,342 flights, or 28% more than the 2,621 flights, which were offered in May 2006. Between January and the end of May, the airline increased its number of flights by 23% over the same period in 2006 – up to 13,192 flights in all. Cabin factor in May 2007 was at a level of 61%, or 5% point up than in May 2006, when it was 56%. During the first five months of 2007 cabin factor was at a level of 58%.
