Palanga is Lithuania’s most important resort town, with lovely and sandy beaches on the shore of the Baltic Sea. The town has three sanatoriums and more than 100 guesthouses and hotels. It is widely known for thermal and mineral baths. During the summer, Palanga serves as Lithuania’s capital for entertainment and culture, with the widest possible variety of events for all tastes. Those who love action will enjoy water cycles, yachts, bicycles, horses, tennis, miniature golf, and other activities. There are many picturesque nature trails for hikers and bikers. Palanga is also an outstanding place for conferences and seminars. One of the most lovely places in town is the building which houses the Lithuanian Amber Museum, not forgetting about the large park which surrounds it.
